PennLinks II Bentgrass

Provides an excellent playing surface for tees, fairways and greens. This bentgrass variety has a medium dark green colouration, with semi-fine erect growth habit and semi-aggressiveness. Increased density with improved disease resistance to dollar spot. Same good heat and drought tolerance as the original.

Penneagle II Bentgrass

Provides an excellent playing surface for tees and fairways. It has a medium-fine, non-aggressive, semi-erect growth habit with a dark green colouration. Early spring green-up helps compete against grassy weeds such as Poa annua. Penneagle II bentgrass variety can be used for winter overseeding in the sunbelt.

Seaside II Creeping Bentgrass

Provides a high-quality turf playing surface for tees, fairways and greens. This bentgrass variety has shown very good drought tolerance and the ability to use effluent or water sources that have a salt level to 15,000 ppm, with a pH of 7.5 - 8.5. Seaside II creeping bentgrass has shown excellent resistance to dollar spot and other turf diseases.

Nu-Penn Blend Creeping Bentgrass

Nu-Penn Blend Creeping Bentgrass

This blend of Penn A-4, G-2 and G-6 bentgrass will provide an excellent playing surface due to the similar high density, fine texture, aggressive growth habit, improved disease resistance and heat and cold tolerance. Colouration is medium to dark green. Will out-compete grassy weeds such as Poa annua.

 

V8 Bentgrass

A brand new state-of-the-art creeping bentgrass cultivar developed for the elite, premium golf course.  V8 is a hybrid between two pre-existing bent varieties, selected specifically for:

  • Close-cut tolerance for lightning fast greens.
  • Dollar spot disease resistance, greatly reducing the quantity of fungicide required.

According to the NTEP, V8 is the #1 most dense bentgrass available today.  V8 is best suited to greens, and is adaptable to tees, approaches, and fairways.  It thrives across the cool, temperate regions of the world, and it is adapted well into the transition zone between warm and cool season areas.

L93 Bentgrass

Ideally suited for use on greens, tees, and fairways.  Its reputation for being dark, dense, and aggressive has made it a world renowned name in creeping bentgrasses.  It has fine-textured leaves, aggressive establishment, excellent winter hardiness and a rich, dark green colour.  L93 has exceptional resistance to dollar spot.

Proclamation Creeping Bentgrass

Low growing with aggressive lateral spreading ability, resulting in reduced scalping and quick fill in from divots.  Proclamation exhibits excellent turf quality with lower nutritional inputs.  It also exhibits very good overall disease resistance, so it can be maintained at high quality levels with less chemical inputs.  Proclamation is ideal for fairways, tees, and greens.

Declaration Creeping Bentgrass

An aggressively growing, highly disease resistant bentgrass that was bred to reduce fungicide costs and the benefit the environment, while delivering top playing conditions.  Due to the excellent dollar spot resistance, Declaration does not thin out in the summer like many other bent varieties.  Combined with its aggressive growth habit, Declaration is able to deliver a top-notch playing surface through the challenging summer months.  In the 2006 NTEP fairway height trials, it ranked #1 for dollar spot, #1 for overall turf quality, #1 for brown patch resistance, and #2 for pink snow mold ratings.

Alister Colonial Bentgrass

Alister Colonial Bentgrass

Exhibits a bright colour and demonstrates solid winter growth, holding on to its colour even under the comparatively poor light conditions of the winter months.  Alister is not quite as aggressive as other bentgrasses, so it co-exists nicely with fine fescue and requires less maintenance, providing an excellent dunes-type golf course mix.  Alister features significantly improved turf quality, and it was selected for improved leaf spot and take-all patch resistance.  Recommended seeding rate is 0.75 lbs. /1,000 sq.ft. for new planting and 1 lb./1,000 sq.ft. for fall overseeding.
