RC Tecumseh Switchgrass is an upland type switchgrass.
Characteristics
Uniform seedling emergence, improved establishment, increased primary tiller production providing competitive growth seedling year, yellow-green colour.
Erect growth habit, early maturity, spring vigour, drought tolerance, winter hardy, 6-7’ tall by maturity quick establishment on marginal dry soils, not well adapted to soil with poor drainage, 137 days from May 1 to seed maturity.
Disease Susceptibility – some susceptibility to rust in humid regions, use in blends in more humid climatic zones.
Production Area – Adaptable to all soil types, suited areas with 500 mm+ of rainfall per season, adaptable to different climatic zones, 2300 – 2800 CHU, 146 days from May 1 to seed maturity

Seeding Rate – 8-10 kg. / ha PLS
